Honeybush
Honeybush is caffeine-free, rich in antioxidants and has a very low tannin content. It is grown in small areas of the western and eastern cape regions of South Africa. Its flavour is similar to rooibos except slightly sweeter and milder.
A traditional use of honeybush has been for the treatment of coughs and upper respiratory problems. Its antispasmodic effect can help relieve stomach cramps and digestive problems. Its name comes from its honey-like taste and sweet aroma the plant's flowers give off.
